Elburn’s 2.67 Inches in 48 Hours Leads Chicago Area Rainfall Totals

According to the National Weathers Service-Chicago graphic you see here, one of the sites where rainfall is measured in Elburn (1 N) collected a whopping 2.67 inches of rain in the 48-hour period that ended at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, 2015. A Sublette station was second at 2.26 inches, and Rockford station was third at 2.20 inches of rain in that time period.
Four of the top rainfall totals in Kane County were at Elburn stations, but there were quite a few that recorded a pretty good soaking.
