More Than 180 Places to Drop Off Toys for Tots in Kane County
Now’s the time to make that toy donation at one of the 180-plus Toys for Tots locations in Kane County, because the deadline is Saturday, Dec. 13.
Toys for Tots is a program coordinated by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that provides toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them Christmas gifts. The local group reported that they have been assigned 500 more names of children in need than they had last year, so donations are urgently needed.
We went onto the Toys For Tots website and found that there are more than 180 Toys for Tots drop off locations throughout Kane County.
The website covers information for all of Kane County, including but not limited to: Algonquin, Allens Corners, Aurora, Barrington Hills, Bartlett, Batavia, Big Rock, Blackberry, Burlington, Campton Hills, Carpentersville, Dundee, East Dundee, Elburn, Elgin, Geneva, Gilberts, Hampshire, Hoffman Estates, Huntley, Kaneville, LaFox, Lilly Lake, Maple Park, Montgomery, Mooseheart, North Aurora, Rutland, St. Charles, Sleepy Hollow, South Elgin, Starks, Sugar Grove, Virgil, Wasco, Wayne, West Dundee, Woodland Hills.
As a suggestion, Kane County coordinator Patrick Kackert says to think of a a couple age groups in particular.
“We are always in need of toys for girls/boys 18 months and younger and girls/boys ages 10 to 14,” he said.

If you wish to drop your donation off to to the TFT warehouse, please do so between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday through Dec. 11, or from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Dec. 12 through Dec. 14 at 1071 Kingsland Drive
