Tell your sweetheart: It’s time for 14 days of love in Dundee.

Visitors to East Dundee’s Depot on River Street can win prizes by snapping a photo with their sweetie in front of a supersized heart of love on display outside the Depot’s entrance and posting it on the Discover Dundee Facebook page, Feb. 1 through Feb. 14.

The eye-catching, outdoor, three-dimensional heart measures 8 feet tall by 7 feet wide and is designed to be the perfect backdrop for a memorable sweetheart photo.

“We’re not limiting people to only taking a photo with their two-legged sweetheart”, explained Special Events Manager, Erin Weingart. “They can snap a selfie with their favorite four- legged friend too.  Once they post it on Facebook, they’ll be entered into our random drawing for that day. There will be one winner a day every day through February 14.”

Winners will be awarded prizes that include ice cream sundaes, hand-painted wine glasses, hair styling products, an art party for two, romantic dinners, manicures  and couples massages to romantic reads, personal training, legal and veterinarian services. Business sponsors include: Artisticology, Aliano’s Restaurant, Barb’s Studio 104, Diamond Jim’s, Village Squire Restaurant, Starbucks of West Dundee, Dundee Animal Hospital, CrossFit Enclave, Fox River Valley Public Library, Onyx Studio and Educational Therapy Lab, Ltd.

“Fourteen Days of Love in Dundee speaks volumes about our community,” said Village President Lael Miller.”We’re a village of neighbors. A village with small-town charm. I’ve had people tell me again and again how they were just visiting the area for one reason or another but instantly fell in love with our town and decided to make this their home. Visitors are constantly amazed at the great improvements we’ve made to our downtown district.”

Facebook contest runs Monday, Feb. 1, through Sunday, Feb.14. Participants can be entered into the daily drawing by posting a new photo or re-posting a previous photo — limit one prize per household.
