Celebrate Elvis’ 81st Birthday at The Hemmens in Elgin

Elvis Presley’s birthday is coming up on Jan. 8, and you can celebrate it right here in Kane County.

The Hemmens in Elgin is hosting an Elvis Tribute Artist Spectacular 2016 on Jan. 8, 2016, at the cultural arts center located at 45 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL. The is a look at Elvis’ work throughout the years, celebrating the music era by era. The concert begins with the early rock-a-billy years, military years,  movie years, the ’68 comeback special in black leather and the show closes with the Las Vegas and concert years.

“With gyrating hips, the patented lip curl and amazing voices you’ll swear it’s the King himself,” The Hemmens says in a press release. “Don’t miss this fantastic and fun evening of entertainment!”

There is a cost, of course. The main floor seats are $49.50 each and balcony seats are $29.50. You can find out more at www.hemmens.org.

Cody Slaughter is hailed as one of the most talented, young Actors, Singer and Elvis Tribute Artists in the country. Born and raised in Harrison, Arkansas, gateway to the beautiful Ozark Mountains, Slaughter began entertaining at the young age of 13. A true Southern boy, Cody’s true passion for Elvis’ music and memory has directed his career path.

Ryan Pelton is back by popular demand! Ryan Pelton fresh from his debut role as Blake Rayne in the movie “The Identical”.

Shawn Klush is called the Closest Thing to the King in Concert. Klush has emerged as the world’s top professional Elvis Tribute Artist in a short time. Born and raised in the small coal-mining town of Pittston, Pennsylvania, Shawn’s love for music led him to begin imitating his musical idol, Elvis Presley. He performed in the famous Poconos region followed by a tour of Canada where he entered and won the $5,000 prize in the “Worldwide Elvis Competition” in Montreal.

DJ Fontana is the first drummer of Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame. Fontana was Elvis’ drummer for 14 years and played on more than 460 RCA cuts with Elvis.

The Sweet Inspirations had their own hit with their title debute “Sweet Inspiration.” When they came to the attention of The King, their lives were changed forever. Opening live and on many of Elvis’ greatest hit records.

The Blackwood Quartet is the first gospel group to sell 1 million records and are eight time Grammy award winners.

JD Sumner and the Stamps Quartet’s include Donnie Sumner, Ed Hill, Bill Baize and Larry Strickland.
