Clock Ticking for Christmas Tree Pickup 2016 in 21 Kane County Communities, Townships
For most municipalities in Kane County, you’ve got one more week to set your Christmas tree out for pickup.
It’s not universal, but most programs pick up trees at no additional charge and do not require a sticker for the first two weeks of January. That means Jan. 15 is a frequent cut-off date before you have to either drop off your tree or pay the sticker fee. That said, there are plenty of variations, so it’s worthwhile to check the list below.
The Kane County Recycles page is a great way to quickly find out about your Christmas tree pick-up and drop-off options. Presented below is info from that page, plus news release and website info distributed by some of the Kane County municipalities. Click on the municipality’s or township’s name for more information or a link to the town’s or township’s website.
Be sure to scroll down and check out the drop-off locations at the end of this article, should you live in unincorporated parts of Kane County or miss the pick-up deadline.
