KCAC’s Adoptable Pet of the Week: Check Out the Eyes of an Angel
If the eyes are the window to the soul, then this 6-year-old neutered male domestic shorthair definitely has the eyes of an angel — which is why the Kane County Animal Control staff named this pet of the week Angel.
Angel came to KCAC with his six other feline siblings when his owner unfortunately fell on hard times. A big love bug that enjoys attention and snuggling, Angel can be a bit of an alpha so he really needs to go to a home with more submissive cats.
Angel’s ears do not stand erect and will require weekly cleanings to prevent any possible ear infections — which he tolerates very well!
He would adjust well in either an active or relaxed home and is eagerly looking for his forever family to come to his rescue!

This just in! Snow White, the Great Pyrenees that has been with KCAC since the end of December, has finally found her forever home! Congratulations, Snow White! You definitely deserve it!
Lionel, the pot-bellied pig, is still available for adoption. His fee is $25.

All Kane County Animal Control adoptable cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccines including rabies. They are tested for feline leukemia/FIV and heartworm. The adoption fee for dogs is $200 and $100 for cats.

About Kane County Animal Control
It is the duty of the Animal Control Department to:
- Ensure that all domesticated dogs and cats over 4 months of age are vaccinated against Rabies and have a Kane County Rabies Tag.
- Ensure that all reported animal bites are given precautionary attention in relation to the possibility rabies infection.
- Ensure that pet owners are instructed on proper procedures pertaining to animal bites and enforce adherence to these procedures.
- Contain loose\stray dogs in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate nuisance dog complaints in unincorporated Kane County and those towns and villages with whom contracted.
- Investigate complaints of neglected and\or abused dogs.
