Adorable, Adoptable: Move Over, Snoopy! There’s a New Beagle in Town
- KCAC’s Adorable, Adoptable Pet of the Week is written by Tecla Metzel of Kane County Animal Control.
Step aside, Snoopy, there’s a new beagle in town!
Her name is Payton and she came to Kane County Animal Control when her owner was unable to take her to his new residence.
This sweet girl is about 6 years old and a beagle in every way, which means her nose is her GPS to the world. Her new home would need to have a fenced-in yard because, like most beagles, she has a tendency to run if off leash.
She loves long walks and cuddling on the couch. She’s great with everyone, including other dogs. Although submissive at times, she doesn’t hesitate to fall on her back so you can rub her tummy.
She has a bit of separation anxiety and will probably whine if she can’t find anyone who will pay her some attention, give her a belly rub, or better yet, a treat!
Won’t you follow your nose to KCAC and adopt Payton?
