Go Green and Adopt a Cat at Discounted Rates
Aurora Animal Control and Care is celebrating all things green this St. Patrick’s Day with a green canned food drive to support Hesed House and to find forever homes for cats and kittens in need.
Through the entire month of March, visitors to AACC who donate at least $5 in green canned goods — green beans, peas, spinach and others — can adopt a cat or dog at the facility for just $45. That fee includes the adoption fee, immunizations, spay or neuter, and City of Aurora registration, which normally costs $90.
Adoptable pets at AACC are available for viewing between noon and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at 600 S. River Street.
