Key Alerts: Elgin Road Construction Kicks Into High Gear This Week
Construction has begun on many projects that are part of the city of Elgin’s multi-million dollar capital investment plan.
For anyone who drives in the Elgin area, the city has some great resources for finding out the status of construction projects, so be sure to scroll down and find out how to sign up for traffic alerts on your platform of choice.
Here are some key alerts for the Week of March 14, 2016:
Royal Boulevard
Construction will begin on Royal Boulevard. Two-way traffic flow will move to the south side of Royal so underground work can occur on the north side. Plan for slight delays.
Bluff City and St. Charles
Lanes closures will occur at the intersection of Bluff City and St. Charles for water main installation on Monday and Tuesday. Plan for slight delays.
South McLean Ramp to Route 20
The eastbound ramp from S. McLean onto eastbound Rt. 20 will be closed 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. (This is a state of Illinois project.)
