The future prosperity of the Kane County community depends on its ability to foster the health and well-being of the next generation.

You can help that process by joining CASA Kane County for its 13th Annual Hands Around the Courthouse event, which takes place at noon Thursday, April 7, 2016, in the lobby of the historic Kane County Courthouse, 100 S. Third St. Geneva.

“We bring awareness to child abuse and neglect in our county,” said Gloria Bunce, CASA Kane County executive director. “You can help make a difference year-round through small acts that help protect children, strengthen our families and ultimately prevent the abuse and neglect of children.”

Speakers at the event include Bunce, Kane County 16th Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Susan Clancy Boles, Kane County State’s Attorney Joe McMahon and 16th Judicial Circuit Abuse and Neglect Judge William J. Parkhurst, who will perform a swearing-in ceremony for CASA/GAL advocates.
