Although it’s on April 1, the event is no April Fools Day joke. In fact, Cristina Mancini of the State of Illinois Comptroller’s Office and Bernice Brewer of the Chicago U.S. Passport Agency will be on hand to help residents obtain valuable information and in-person assistance.

From 9:30 to 11 a.m., Mancini will deliver a presentation and answer questions regarding identify theft, credit card protection, fraud alerts, and other related issues. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Bernice Brewer of the Chicago U.S. Passport Agency, will present an overview of what residents need to know when applying for a passport, and answer such questions as where and when to apply, who qualifies for a passport, when to renew, how to replace a lost or stolen passport, what fees are involved and more.

Hultgren’s staff will be on-site, as well, and available to help constituents as they interact with various federal agencies.
