UPDATE: Missing Aurora 15-Year-Old Girl Found in Chicago, Now Home Safe

UPDATE — 9AM THURSDAY, MARCH 24

Jaclyn White, the missing/endangered 15-year-old from Aurora, was located by Chicago police around 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, in downtown Chicago.

The Aurora Police Department reported at around 8:57 a.m. Thursday, March 24, that she is safe and back in Aurora.

Jaclyn White was discovered missing by her family around 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, from her home in the 500 block of Jackson St., Aurora which is where she was also last seen.

Late Tuesday night, investigators received a call saying that around 9:20 a.m. Monday, a girl fitting Jaclyn’s description was seen getting into an older model brown sedan in the area of Routes 30 and 25 over the Fox River in Montgomery. The driver of the car, described as a late-model Buick, was s a white male who appeared to be thin.

“This will be the only information released on her recovery,” police said.

The missing-persons report was distributed widely through traditional and social media, and police spokesman Dan Ferrelli expressed gratitude to the many are residents who contributed to the investigation.

“We appreciate everyone’s efforts in helping spread the word,” he said.

UPDATE — 11:44 AM WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23

Aurora Police are continuing to ask the public for assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old girl who is intellectually delayed and has not been seen since 11 p.m. Sunday night, March 20.

Jaclyn White was discovered missing by her family around 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, from her home in the 500 block of Jackson St., Aurora which is where she was also last seen.

Aurora police have been working around the clock on their search for Jaclyn and are being assisted by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Numerous tips of reported sightings have been investigated by police but none have led to Jaclyn’s whereabouts.

Late Tuesday night, investigators received a call saying that around 9:20 a.m. Monday, a girl fitting Jaclyn’s description was seen getting into an older model brown sedan in the area of Routes 30 and 25 over the Fox River in Montgomery. The driver of the car was described as a white male who appeared to be thin. The vehicle was similar to a Buick from the 1990s, was possibly a two-door and had “sharper” edges. It was last seen eastbound on Route 30.

Anyone who may come across her or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call Aurora Police Investigations at 630-256-5500 or 911.

Montgomery police are also assisting Aurora detectives.

Aurora police are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old girl who is developmentally delayed.

Jaclyn White was discovered missing by her family around 9:30 a.m. Monday from her home in the 500 block of Jackson Street in Aurora. She was last seen around 11 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at her home. Jaclyn is African American, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. It is not known for sure what she was wearing when she went missing but her family said she probably has on blue, flat shoes with gold studs.

Anyone who may come across her or has information on her whereabouts is asked to call Aurora Police Investigations at 630-256-5500 or 911.
