Crash in Hampshire Township Takes Life of Elgin Man
A 64-year-old Elgin man died Thursday morning after a crash in unincorporated Hampshire Township.
According to a Kane County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies were dispatched at around 9:06 a.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, to a traffic crash with injuries on Lenschow Road about a half-mile west of French Road.
The initial investigation indicates that a 2001 Honda CRV driven by Ronald Suitts, 64, of Elgin was traveling west on Lenschow Road and for an unknown reason left the roadway on the north side of the road, where the CRV struck a tree.
