Hey, Job Seekers and Health Care Educators! Connect With NorthWestern Medicine HR Leader at Friday’s Jobs Committee
The Kane County Jobs Committee will host a special guest speaker at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, in Building A of the Kane County Government Center.
Mikael Wukitsch, vice president of human resources for Northwestern Medicine’s West Region will talk about health careers in Kane County.
In fact, almost 40 percent Kane County’s workers belong to one of three fields — manufacturing, retail trade and health care — and there are few people more qualified than Wukitsch to share information about the latter.
Wukitsch is a strategic and results-driven human resources professional with more than 20 years of experience in multiple industries and cultural environments. He is an experienced strategic business partner who has provided vision and direction to executive teams and to human resource functions.
“Michael has worked hard to cross boundaries from front-line staff to board of directors and brings strong client service and effectiveness mindset to HR operations,” Jobs Committee Co-Chair Rebecca Gillam said.
Wukitsch, a resident of Batavia, says he’s passionate about health careers and is very excited about getting involved in Kane County.
The Kane County Jobs Committee meetings are a little different than some government meetings, which sometimes focus exclusively on in-house policy. The speakers series connects leaders of Kane County’s top employers with government policymakers and the general public.
The committee has been working since its creation in 2013 to connect municipalities, businesses, economic development organizations, and educational institutions to help businesses solve problems and reduce the barriers preventing workers from finding jobs. In addition, the Jobs Committee has guided the county in finding planning help, grant resources, and workforce training for Kane County job creators.

The Jobs Committee has invited speakers from its February meeting on health careers education to attend the meeting, as well. They include representatives of Elgin Community College, Waubonsee Community College and Aurora University.
