The North Aurora Police Department advises drivers to avoid the area of Sullivan Road between IL Route 31 and Highland Avenue due to power lines malfunction. That stretch of Sullivan Road is shut down to all traffic in both directions.

In addition, several locations in North Aurora and the west side of Aurora are without power.

Commonwealth Edison crews as well as officers from Aurora and North Aurora are currently on the scene working to address the problem.

Please avoid the area.
