‘Shred’ Those Extra Pounds, Recycle Electronics at Saturday e-Cycling Event in East Dundee

East Dundee is hosting a Shredding and E-Cycling Event in its downtown district from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 16.

The activity will be held in the parking lot behind Depot Dogs, which will be open for lunch. Traffic will be able to access the lot from Railroad St. and exit using Hill St. There is a limit of three “banker”-size boxes of documents per person for this event that is free for Dundee residents; $5 for non-residents.

Participants will also be able to drop off  electronics that include TVs, computers, keyboards, printers, VCR and DVD players, fax machines and cell phones at this event, as well. Items such as microwaves, batteries, ink cartridges or cassettes are not allowed. There will be staff on hand to help with the heavy lifting.

E-cycling is free to Dundee residents; $5 for non-residents.
