The Kane County Bar Association Presents ‘Bar Wars — The Farce Awakens’ April 29-30

The Kane County Bar Association will present a Bar Show titled “Bar Wars – The Farce Awakens” April 29 and 30 at the Copley Theater, located at 8 E. Galena Boulevard, Aurora.

The show is a musical comedy parody of current events written, directed by and starring KCBA members. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and the cocktail reception preceding the show starts at 6:15 p.m. The KCBA has not done a Bar Show at the Copley Theater for close to 20 years, although the group performed a bar show two years ago at Elgin Community College.

Tickets, which include the cocktail reception with an open bar, are $55 and are available through the Paramount’s Copley Theater Box Office at 630-896-6666.

“We do the Bar Shows as a fun way to promote collegiality among the bar and to cultivate social and professional interrelationships among bar members,” said Producer Dorothy A. Voigt.

Patrons are warned that there may be no actual references to Star Wars in the show, so nerds are advised to attend at their own risk.

“Refunds are limited to Imperial Credits available only at the will call desk on Naboo,” Voigt said.
