Cop on a Rooftop Friday, May 20, at Dunkin’ Donuts in Kane County
2016 marks the 14th Anniversary of the Dunkin’ Donuts Cop on Rooftop event with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Illinois. This event has been a huge success over the years, and in fact, nearly $2.3 million has been raised during this partnership. In 2015, 195 locations participated and raised more than $542,000.
This year’s Cop on Rooftop event will be held statewide from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, and there are plenty of locations right here in Kane County that will be participating. Some of those locations are applying slightly different hours, so please check the news releases below for more information.
In exchange for a donation to Illinois Special Olympics, customers will receive a certificate for a free doughnut. Patrons donating at least $10 will receive a coffee mug while supplies last. Many Kane County locations also are offering tickets for a chance to win a new Harley Davidson motorcycle, courtesy of the Kane County Chiefs of Police.
