Illinois H.O.G. Rally 2016 Makes Opening Pitch at May 19 Cougars Game
Don’t be surprised if you see scores of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the Kane County Cougars parking lot on this week.
The Kane County Cougars announced that they will host the Illinois H.O.G. Rally Opening Pitch on Thursday, May 19, when they take on the Peoria Chiefs in a 6:30 p.m. game at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark.
Opening Pitch is the kick-off event to the 27th Illinois H.O.G. Rally taking place Aug. 18-20 in St. Charles, Illinois. Attendees of the H.O.G. rally are members of the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle club in the world which boasts over one million members across 1,400 chapters worldwide. Each chapter is sponsored by its own local Harley-Davidson dealership. The Fox River H.O.G. chapter is sponsored by Fox River Harley-Davidson located in St. Charles.
Prior to the game, H.O.G. rally attendees will ride to Fifth Third Bank Ballpark for a special photo opportunity with Cougars owners, Dr. Bob and Cheryl Froehlich, and mascot Ozzie T. Cougar.
“The Cougars organization is excited to host this year’s Opening Pitch,” said Dr. Bob Froehlich. “This is a great opportunity to boost the chapter’s excitement before the 27th Illinois H.O.G. Rally in August and enjoy a fun time at the ballpark as well.”
Cheryl Froehlich says the Cougars are proud to be a part of the motorcycling celebration.
“The H.O.G. Rally attendees are so passionate about the event, and we are honored to be able to show them what Cougars baseball is all about.”
Attendees will be able to register for the 27th Illinois H.O.G. rally at the game and the chapter is hoping to have a Harley Davidson motorcycle on display for fans to admire, courtesy of Fox River Harley-Davidson. The registration deadline is June 30.

The game on May 19 will also feature the Cougars weekly Thirsty Thursday special, presented by Miller Lite. All Thursday evening games throughout the season feature $1 select beers, small sodas and hot dogs. Following the game, fans of all ages will be allowed onto the field to run the bases.
