The East Aurora GreenLab will host a huge community garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, June 24, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at the Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy, 157 N. Root Street. Community members are invited to purchase a space to sell their own gently used items. Sale tables will be available for $10 each.

Donations of gently used items for the GreenLab to sell will also be accepted beginning June 3 at the Magnet Academy. Large furniture, tires, mattresses and car seats will not be accepted.

About the GreenLab

The Fred Rodgers Magnet Academy plans to build an indoor/outdoor learning laboratory (GreenLab) to enrich student learning, as well as create a community partnership providing fresh vegetables for families in an underserved community. The District will raise $750,000 to cover construction costs of the state-of-the-art GreenLab, which will have a fully functioning greenhouse and outdoor garden spaces.  The GreenLab will also be a model of green technologies and include solar panels, wind turbines, and a brown water system with the goal of the facility being “off-the grid”.
