Cougars Add Music Garden, Saturday Pre-Game Concerts

The Kane County Cougars have unveiled a new Cougars Music Garden, presented by the Acres Group, in anticipation of the first summer concert of the season.

The Cougars Music Garden features a permanent stage for the Summer Saturday Concert Series as well as other pre-game events. This week’s unveiling preceded the first concert of the season with a performance by ’80s and ’90s tribute hip hop group, Too White Crew.

Fans with a ticket for a Cougars game on Saturdays from June to September will be allowed entrance into the ballpark at 4:30 p.m. for additional pre-game concerts throughout the season with remaining performances by Mr. Myers Band, Big Band Boom!, Trippin’ Billies, Suburban Cowboys, American English, Hi Infidelity and Mike and Joe. All concerts will conclude by 6 p.m. to allow fans to reach their seats in time for a 6:30 p.m. start time.

“We’d like to thank the Acres Group for their impressive work in the Music Garden,” said Cougars General Manager and Vice President Curtis Haug. “We value our long-standing partnership and look forward to the remaining concerts this season as well as the landscaping and flower program they have planned throughout the ballpark.”

“The music pavilion is a wonderful addition to the ballpark,” added Cougars owner, Chery Froehlich. “We are thrilled to be able to provide this beautiful area for our fans, as well as the performers, to enjoy our Saturday Concert Series for many years to come.”
