Key Alerts

South McLean Boulevard

South McLean Boulevard is reduced to one northbound lane between Fleetwood Driove and Main Lane from Saturday, June 18, through Tuesday, June 21. This lane closure is necessary for pavement placement. Expect delays and find alternate routes if possible.

Randall Road

Randall Road will be closed at the railroad crossing between Hopps Road and Gyorr Avenue from Monday, June 20, to Tuesday, June 21. The posted detour route follows Stears Road, McLean Boulevard, and Bowes Road. This closure is necessary for a emergency repair at the railroad crossing. This closure is expected to have major impacts to traffic in the entire area, and other roads that run north/south. Motorists should plan for a considerable amount of extra travel time or find an alternate route during these two days.

Nesler Road

Construction began last week to install water main along Nesler Road from South Street to Pompton Avenue, just south of Bowes Road. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout the project, but northbound and southbound traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a light system. • Chicago Street bridge and PACE — Work this week in the Central Business District requires traffic to shift on to the south lane of Chicago Street between Route 31 and the bridge to allow for concrete to be poured on the north side of Chicago Street. The single lane of traffic that currently exists will remain, but drivers should exercise extra caution and plan for delays to accommodate the relocated PACE buses and shifted pedestrian traffic.
