‘Hunt’ Is ‘On’ for Mysterious, Elusive Sugar Grove Corn Boil Medallion
The Sugar Grove Corn Boil Medallion has been hidden somewhere in Sugar Grove Township and everyone is invited to participate in the hunt. The first clue will be posted on the Corn Boil website on June 9. Clues will be posted every Thursday through July 28 or until the Medallion is found.
Click on “ENTERTAINMENT” and scroll down to “Medallion Hunt” for more information on the website. Clues will also be posted on the Sugar Grove Corn Boil Facebook page.
A cash prize of $50 will be awarded to the person who finds it. In addition, the person who finds the medallion will be recognized during the Sugar Grove Corn Boil Opening Ceremonies and presented the official Robert Carroll Glass Medallion.
The medallion is not hidden on private residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural property. It is not hidden on a golf course, in a cemetery or on church property. It is not buried. It is not located under water or in a building. It is not located in a hazardous area, and tools will not be required to locate it.
The Sugar Grove Corn Boil Committee requests that participants respect all property as they look for the medallion. If the medallion is found, the winner should contact the person designated in the information found with the medallion.
The Sugar Grove Corn Boil Committee is entirely made up of volunteers. The committee invites everyone to partner with them to help make the 2016 Corn Boil an even bigger success. Corn Boil sponsors will be showing their support for the community as well as promoting their businesses.

The 2016 Sugar Grove Corn Boil is set for July 28 to July 31, 2016, at Volunteer Park in Sugar Grove.
The Corn Boil Committee’s mission is to give back to the community. Hosted by the Sugar Grove Corn Boil, NFP volunteers, the corn boil provides local groups and vendors an opportunity to raise funds via the large audience. All profits from the event are shared with local not-for-profit organizations. The Between Friends Food Pantry, Sugar Grove Historical Society, and Kaneland High School Drum Corps are just a few of the many important organizations the Sugar Grove Corn Boil, NFP helped in 2015.
