Let Kane County Host a Woodland Birthday for Your Child!

Looking for something a little different and fun for your child’s next birthday party?

The Forest Preserve District has just the ticket — a Woodland Birthday party at a forest preserve near you — and the KCFP will take care of the whole shebang, from planning to entertainment to clean-up.

Screen Shot 2016-06-01 at 1.39.27 PMWoodland Birthdays feature an outdoor nature exploration hike led by naturalists, with a campfire afterwards featuring hot dogs, chips and drinks. You’ll get unique party favors with a nature theme for each child, the use of a cabin at Johnson’s Mound Forest Preserve or the Creek Bend Nature Center at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve.

Parties are available from June through September. You pick the date (subject to availability). Party times are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The fee for a Woodland Birthday party is $175 for Kane County residents, and $200 for out-of-county residents. The rate includes a party for 15 children. For more than 15 children, there will be a charge of $5 per additional child.
