25 Winners Named in Montgomery Floral Display Contest
The Montgomery Beautification Committee has recognized 25 homes for their plantings and beautification efforts in this summer’s Floral Display Contest.
Award winners received a letter signed by Village President Matt Brolley and Beautification Chair Stan Bond, along with a colorful yard sign to display during the coming weeks.
“We appreciate the efforts of those who plant flowers to help beautify our neighborhoods and the entire village,” Bond said. “The Beautification Committee would like to thank this year’s winners for their outstanding efforts to make our community attractive and friendly.”

Members of the Beautification Committee include Patti Bulat, Martha Larson, Tom Yakaitis, Brett Schaefer, Nancy Tranby, Marilyn Michelini, Marion Bond, Robyn Strait and Judy Brown.
Other Montgomery Beautification Committee programs include the flower plantings along Mill Street Bridge, hanging flower baskets and banner displays throughout the downtown area, refurbishing of entryway signs to the village, construction and oversight of 90 bluebird houses placed in the village’s natural areas, and the holiday decoration awards program.
The Beautification Committee meets on the third Wednesday at 6 pm in Village Hall. Area residents are invited to attend the meetings and participate in our committee’s activities.
