Batavia’s Windmill City Festival Offers Free Family Fun July 7-10
Windmill City Festival, a longtime staple of the Batavia community and a weekend draw for folks throughout Kane County, is set for July 7 through July 10 in downtown Batavia.
The festival features a carnival, popular 5K run, a pet parade and an ice-cream-eating contest and a ton of family friendly events. Admission is free.
Fun for the Little Ones
The festival is a child’s paradise complete with a carnival, Touch-A-Truck, Diaper Derby, and Chuck the Duck water race. The carnival will be offering unlimited rides with the purchase of a wrist band for $25 on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Kids can also participate in the Windmill Whirl 5K. Ages 8 and under will receive a $10 discount.
No Boredom for Teens
There’s no shortage of activities to keep the older kids busy. Take a swing at the Golf Challenge, try your hand at Live Band Karaoke, show off your artistic skills at the Sidewalk Chalk Drawing Contest or compete against a friend in the Fire Hose Challenge!
Big Kids (Adults) Playground
Windmill Festival has plenty of adult-oriented activities, as well, including a bags tournament, pet parade, live bands, food booths, beer garden, craft show and an adult-division in the ice cream eating contest!
