Kane County Cougars Homestand July 13-18 Includes Frozen Deck Party, Pro Wrestling Night

The Kane County Cougars, Class-A Minor League affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, will open a six-game homestand tonight (Wednesday, July 13) when they host the West Michigan Whitecaps (Detroit Tigers affiliate) for a three-game series while the South Bend Cubs (Chicago Cubs affiliate) come to town for a three-game set beginning on Saturday, July 16.

Homestand highlights include Peanut Free Night, an appearance from a pair of wrestling legends, the highly anticipated Frozen Deck Party, a pre-game concert by Trippin’ Billies and post-game entertainment from the Jesse White Tumblers.

Homestand Notes

Cougars_logo SMALLPeanut Free Night: Since 2007, the Cougars have hosted their annual Peanut-Free Night to allow fans with peanut allergies the opportunity to safely attend a Cougars game. In addition to peanuts, the following items will not be available for fans to purchase at any point during the game on July 13: Dippin’ Dots, Oberweis ice cream, Oreo churros, Cracker Jacks, candy including plain and peanut M&M’s as well as cookies and brownies. For questions regarding ballpark food and the ingredients they contain visit Guest Services on the third base concourse.

Pro Wrestling Night: Wrestling legends Mick Foley and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat will join us on July 14. Both will throw out a ceremonial first pitch at 6:15 p.m. followed by an autograph signing on the center field deck from approximately 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with a $2 charge per autograph (cash only) and a limit of two autographs per person, not per wrestler. Fans will need to provide their own items to be autographed and no posed photos will be allowed in order to accommodate as many people through the line as possible.

Frozen Night/Deck Party: The highly anticipated Frozen Night returns on July 15 beginning with a pre-game costume parade and Cougars staff members will be wearing Frozen costumes, courtesy of All Dressed Up. A limited number of reservations are still available for the deck party in right field which includes a ticket to the game, a food and beverage spread with chicken tenders, hot dogs, blue Sprite and popsicles plus a private meet-and-greet with Elsa, Anna and Kristoff. Two Step: The Summer Saturday Concert Series continues on July 16 with a pre-game performance by the Trippin’ Billies in the Music Garden, presented by the Acres Group. Based out of Chicago, Trippin’ Billies has become the premier Dave Matthews tribute band, touring the country for close to 20 years.
