Property Assessments for Dundee, Rutland Townships Will Be Published July 7
Want to know if your property tax assessment will change this year? If you live in Dundee Township or Rutland Township, you’ll have a chance to find out exactly that on Thursday, July 7, when assessment changes will be published in local newspapers.
The 2016 assessment changes for property in both townships are being published in July 7 editions of the Fox Valley Daily Herald.
The assessment publication starts the clock ticking for the time period that property owners can challenge the assessed value of their property. The final complaint-filing deadline for property in these two townships has been set for Aug. 8, 2016.
To repeat and underline, assessment complaints for property in these townships must be filed by Aug. 8, 2016. By state law, no assessment complaints for property in these townships can be accepted after this date. Click here to learn more about assessment complaints.

Filing Deadlines in Kane County — So Far
- Assessment changes in Dundee and Rutland townships are being published July 7. The final filing deadline for these townships is Aug. 8, 2016.
- Assessment changes in Big Rock and Virgil townships were published on June 16; the final filing deadline for these townships is July 18, 2016.
- Assessment changes in Batavia and Burlington townships were published on June 9; the final filing deadline for these townships is July 11, 2016.
- The final filing deadline for Hampshire Township for the 2016 year has already passed; no further assessment complaints can be accepted for this township.
- Assessment changes for Aurora, Blackberry, Campton, Elgin, Geneva, Kaneville, Plato, St. Charles, and Sugar Grove Townships have not yet been published. As of today, no final filing deadline has been established for these townships.
