ButterBurgers & Badges Fundraiser Is Aug. 9 at the St. Charles Culver’s
St. Charles police officers will be at the Culver’s at 4068 E. Main St. in St. Charles from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, to help raise money for Special Olympics Illinois. It’s part of the “ButterBurgers & Badges” event that features local law enforcement officers serving Culver’s guests dining inside or visiting the drive-through.
The officers will collect “tips” for their service that will be donated to Special Olympics Illinois, along with one dollar for every concrete mixer dessert purchased. In addition, local Special Olympics athletes will be on hand to meet and greet guests and sign autographs.
“A main component of the city of St. Charles mission statement is service,” said Police Chief James Keegan. “We take pride in serving St. Charles, whether it’s through our daily police work or by volunteering in the community for a good cause.”
