An eco-fair on the Fox River — featuring an eco-marketplace, live music, food vendors, educational displays and new environmentally-themed activities — is set for Saturday, Aug. 13, in downtown Batavia.

Hosted by the Batavia Environmental Commission, Batavia Park District, Batavia MainStreet and the city of Batavia, Green Fair on the Fox has become a huge hit with families throughout Kane County.

This year’s event will be bringing back the popular Alternative Transportation Show and Bicycle Show and add two cool new elements to help get people more involved: the Change One Campaign that inspires individuals, organizations and businesses to change one thing to make their lives more eco-friendly and the Community Clothing Swap that will be held inside the Peg Bond Center.

The fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, in downtown Batavia. Displays and activities will be located outdoors at the Batavia Riverwalk, indoors at City Hall, and across the pedestrian bridge at the Farmers’ Market on River Street.Check out the Green Fair on the Fox website for more information.
