Geneva Downtown Brickwork Scheduled to Start Aug. 29

Geneva Downtown Brickwork Scheduled to Start Aug. 29

A city of Geneva contractor will be repairing and replacing bricks along several segments of Third Street in downtown Geneva starting Monday, Aug. 29.

RLS Landscaping will be working at the following locations next week:

  • Northeast corner of Third and James streets;
  • Both crosswalks at Third and Franklin streets; and
  • Ribbons along the sidewalk on Third Street between James and Campbell streets.

The project will require closing sidewalks in the area, and downtown patrons should expect a temporary loss of parking spaces and periodic traffic lane reductions during the day. Work is expected to be wrapped up in one week, weather permitting.

For more information, contact Public Works Streets Superintendent Nate Landers at 630-232-1501 or at nlanders@geneva.il.us.
