Kane County Seeks Nominations for 2016 Manufacturer of the Year
Do you know a manufacturer from your community or organization with:
- A reputation for leadership and involvement in the industry and its supply chain?
- A keen focus on technology and innovations?
- A demonstrated commitment to “pay it forward” to the local community and smaller companies in the manufacturing supply chain?
If yes, nominate that company for the Kane County 2016 Manufacturing Champion Award.
Last year, Cast Aluminum Solutions of Batavia won the title of Kane County Manufacturing Champion of the Year, chosen from a list of 11 Kane County manufacturing companies nominated for the 2015 awards. The company makes industrial components for equipment that fit into complex processes, supporting space exploration and jet propulsion agencies, major pharmaceutical manufacturers and top-name food and restaurant brands, to name a few.
See the “Read More” below for profiles of the amazing 2015 nominees.
Nominations for the 2016 award should be sent to Chris Toth at tothchris@co.kane.il.us by no later than Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016. Simply include a brief description responsive to the questions above and explain why you are nominating this company.
“All of us in Kane County have the opportunity to celebrate our manufacturing businesses by nominating a Kane County awardee for the 2016 Kane County Manufacturer of the Year,” Kane County Board Chairman Chris Lauzen said. “It’s a great privilege to be able to recognize the excellence and innovation that make Kane County businesses among the leaders in the state and nation.”
This year’s winner will be celebrated at the Kane County Board Jobs Committee meeting on Oct. 14.
The Kane County winner will also be celebrated at the Making Manufacturing Matter 2016 event on Oct. 6 in Chicago, hosted by the Alliance for Illinois Manufacturing.
