POW! Awww, 3 Adorable Kittens Left in a Big Rock Box — Take One (Or More) Home!
“I think a hero is an ordinary individual who finds strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.” – Christopher Reeve
- KCAC’s Adorable, Adoptable Pet of the Week is written by Tecla Metzel of Kane County Animal Control.
Meet Gwen, Bruce and Natasha, three 12-week-old kittens that were found in a box along a roadside in Big Rock. Because of the circumstances these siblings have had to endure, each kitten was named after a superhero’s secret identity.
Gwen is a spayed calico with a chest of white medium-hair. Named after Gwen Stacy, who is actually Spider Woman in the comic world, she is the most social of the litter. She enjoys playing and wrestling with Bruce and Natasha. After a hearty play time, she is ready for a much deserved belly rub.
Bruce is a neutered orange and white domestic shorthair named after Bruce Wayne, Batman’s alter ego. Bruce may come across as a bit shy at first, but once he’s cuddled in your arms, he relaxes and becomes very content.
Natasha is named after Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, who is an antagonist to Iron Man. She is a spayed, gray and black-striped medium-haired kitten that can be a little nervous and cautious around strangers. With some patience and socialization, she should become a loyal companion. Her favorite past time is climbing to higher elevations in order to get an ideal vantage point above her siblings. How Black Widow of her!
These kittens have never known the love of a home or family and would love to grow up in a safe environment. Won’t you be their hero?
