‘Sell 2 Kane’: County Seeks Electrician For Mill Creek, Shoreline Stabilization for Judicial Center

Did you know that Mill Creek has a special services area that takes care of such things as street maintenance, brush pickup and other functions often associated with municipal government?
Well, if you didn’t before, you do now. Mill Creek is in need of some heavy electrical services, so the county’s Purchasing Department is posting an opportunity for businesses to bid. The info you need is posted below.
Also, as you might have read, the shoreline of one of the ponds at the Kane County Judicial Center is eroding due to a combination of issues including insufficient root structure of the original turf grass installed on the banks.
According to the executive summary in the Kane County Development Committee agenda packet, the county is seeking a professional service to repair erosion around the shoreline of the pond, which was constructed in 1993 to provide stormwater detention. The existing shoreline consists of stacked limestone slabs and rounded rock cobble the protection with a turf grass upper slope.
The proposed project will correct the shoreline erosion problems.

Licensed Electrician Services Needed for Mill Creek SSA
The County of Kane is seeking to retain the services of a qualified licensed electrician to provide light to heavy electrical services at various Kane County Government locations as well as the Mill Creek Special Service Area located west of Geneva, for the Kane County Building Management Department.
Bid documents may be obtained on or after Aug. 19, 2016. Vendors interested in obtaining this bid document from Kane County may register to be placed on the vendor list by e-mailing the completed contact information to purchasing@co.kane.il.us. Upon receipt of your information the bid documents will be e-mailed to your attention.
Sealed Bids are due in the Kane County Purchasing Office, located at 719 S. Batavia Ave., Building A, Rooms 210, 212, 214, Geneva, IL 60134, by 2 p.m. Sept. 2, 2016, when they will be publicly opened and read.
JC Pond Shoreline Stabilization & Naturalization Project
The County of Kane is accepting sealed bid seeking an experienced and licensed Contractor to provide all essential materials, equipment, and labor for Pond Shoreline Stabilization and Naturalization Project. This project is located at the Kane County Judicial Center, St. Charles, IL. This is a Prevailing Wage project.
Vendor is encouraged to attend a one-time site visit for walk thru and inspection scheduled at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016. Please contact Rob Linke at 630-232-3498 for direction to and site location.
