The village of Carpentersville has launched its “Shop C’Ville” initiative, designed to create connections between Carpentersville businesses and residents.

The initiative includes the launch of a mobile application and interactive directory available on the village’s website.

Carpentersville_logo_squareCarpentersville businesses can create their presence on “Shop C’Ville” at www.cville.org and then the Shop C’Ville button on the bottom left part of the home page.  Each business then can tailor its presence through unique pages designed and updated by each business owner.

Businesses will have the ability to display information about new merchandise or services, current coupon offerings, available job openings, upcoming events and other topical news. Through this initiative, the village of Carpentersville hopes to highlight the strength of its business community by making local offerings more accessible and vibrant.

A sample business called “A Carpentersville Business” (image above) has been created to provide ideas on how businesses can employ this application.

Carpentersville businesses can use their “Shop C’Ville” page as their business website if they do not have a web presence already or can use the page to link to their already existing site. This initiative will allow businesses to connect with consumers in a community minded way. It also will give residents and visitors one central place to find information about their favorite Carpentersville businesses and to discover new favorites.
