Geneva Resident Wins $100,000 Illinois Lottery Prize

Geneva resident Bob Gamboni scratched an Illinois Lottery $10 Million Cash Bonanza ticket and instantly won $100,000.

“I plan to pay bills and invest,” he said when he presented his winning ticket at the Lottery Prize Center in Des Plaines.

Gamboni was at 7-Eleven, 621 West State Street in Geneva, when he bought and scratched his $100,000 winning ticket. The retailer received a bonus of $1,000, equal to 1 percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket. The $10 Million Cash Bonanza is a $30 instant ticket with three top prizes of $10 million.
