Aurora’s Sullivan-Highland Roundabout Is Open for Business

Aurora’s SullivanHighland Roundabout opened to traffic in the afternoon on Monday, Oct. 3, according to a city of Aurora news release.

The reconstructed intersection of Sullivan Road and Highland Avenue is designed to improve the flow of traffic with the installation of a roundabout. The $525,000 project, which also includes new curbs, gutters, concrete islands, storm sewer and asphalt paving, was completed on time.

Residents will likely be happy to see the road opened. Since August, a detour was set up to take drivers from “Randall to Indian Trail to Lake Street and vice versa,” according to the city’s website.
