Construction on Metra’s Milwaukee West Line Will Affect Sunday Travel Through Nov. 6
Due to bridge work, a construction schedule will be in effect starting this Sunday, Oct. 23, for Metra’s Milwaukee District West Line from Elgin to Chicago.
At specified times, this work will require busing for passengers who wish to use Elgin or National Street. The buses will transfer passengers to and from trains east of the Fox River. The Sunday schedule is embedded below.
Metra officials say the construction schedule will be in effect for the next three Sundays: Oct. 23, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6.
During the bridge construction, passengers using Elgin or National Street will be provided busing on trains shaded in the schedule below. The buses will transfer passengers to and from trains at a designated point east of the National Street station. The shaded trains may incur delays due to the construction and transferring of passengers.
