Geneva Cultural Arts Commission’s Popular ‘Eat Your Art Out’ Gala Set for Nov. 5
Ring in the upcoming holiday season with a philanthropic feast as the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission hosts its third annual Eat Your Art Out! Gala fundraiser Saturday, Nov. 5.
This unique and exclusive event features a night of fine dining combined with exquisite art at the Herrington Inn & Spa’s historic Pump House banquet room, 15 S. River Lane. The Herrington Inn’s Executive Chef Jeffery Potter will design an art-inspired four-course dinner with wine pairings that is bound to delight the senses. The event will start at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour with cash bar and silent auction followed by dinner and live auction from 7 to 9 p.m.
This year’s collection of original artwork includes “Serenity” by Len Bielefeldt, “State of Repose” by Karen Bordenave, “What is Happening in Geneva” by Fatima Figueiredo and “How Pleasant Thy Banks” by Jan Schmuckal. Featured pieces from each artist will be sent home with generous bidders as the gala culminates with a lively auction hosted by Mayor Kevin Burns.
Opportunities for additional art acquisitions will be available with hand-crafted pottery by Mary Ann Diggory of Down To Earth Pottery, a live art performance piece by Pamela Hamilton and highly-curated fine art at the silent auction table.
Tickets for this boutique event are $125 per person and can be purchased online at www.genevarts.org. Seating is limited. Money raised at the event supports the commission’s efforts to create diverse cultural arts experiences for the Geneva community throughout the year.
