POW! You Should Be So Lucky! This Calico Loves to Lounge
“Cats are rather delicate creatures … but I have never heard of one who suffered from insomnia.”
– Joseph Wood Krutch
- KCAC’s Adorable, Adoptable Pet of the Week is written by Tecla Metzel of Kane County Animal Control.
Meet Lucky, an 8-year-old, owner-surrendered calico, domestic shorthair who loves to lounge around. Any future family looking for a sweet, sedentary cat will definitely not go wrong in adopting Lucky.
She used to live in a house with a couple of dogs and one other cat, Trixie, who was also owner-surrendered, so she’s used to sharing her space with other animals. That said, we suspect she’d be just as happy as master of her own domain. Nap time is sacred, for heaven’s sake!
Lucky is definitely a sweetheart in every way. She’s front-pawed declawed, so she’s content to remain an indoor feline.
A loving family would give Lucky a good reason to get off the couch, and maybe convince her to sign up for that Zumba class she’s been secretly thinking about!
KCAC Updates
Both Pumpkin and Friday, two very sweet calico cats, were adopted this week. Aby, KCAC’s very courageous orange tabby, also was adopted this past week. Congratulations to them and their new families!
Nelly, a young terrier-mix momma dog that had five puppies prior to arriving at KCAC, has finally found her forever home. We’re so happy for you, Nelly! After what you’ve gone through, you deserve nothing but the best!
