Celebrate the New Year With a Morning Hike at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve
There’s no better way to start 2017 than a hike in the wintry woods!
You’re welcome to bring the whole family — grandkids and grandparents — on this special holiday hike. You’ll look for the first animal tracks made in the New Year’s snow, as well as trees, seeds and surprises from Mother Nature. There will be coffee and cocoa inside Creek Bend Nature Center after the hike.
This Forest Preserve District of Kane County program runs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, at LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve. This free hike is for participants of all ages.
Advance registration is required. Call 630-444-3190 or e-mail programs@kaneforest.com to register.
LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve is located at 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.
