Heads Up! Winter Storm Watch in Effect For Kane County

The National Weather Service Chicago has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Kane County and the surround area.

The Winter Storm Watch is in effect from Saturday evening (Dec. 10, 2016) through late Sunday night.

Snowfall of 6 inches or more is expected — likely as much as 8 inches in Kane County. The main impact is expected to be snow-covered roads and low visibility, which will make travel hazardous.

Kane, DuPage, Cook, Kendall, Will and Lake counties in Illinois and Porter County in Indiana are included in the watch.
