Kane County Legislative Forum on Aging Set for Dec. 12 in St. Charles
The 28th Annual Kane County Legislative Forum on Aging and Disability Issues will be held Monday (Dec. 12, 2016) at the Pottawatomie Community Center, 8 North Ave., St. Charles. The program begins at 9 a.m. with registration at 8:30 a.m.
The forum’s purpose is for seniors, people with disabilities, caregivers, and their advocates to meet federal, state, and local legislators and hear their perspectives on issues affecting these groups.
The forum will focus on how fully funded state programs save taxpayer dollars and improve the quality of life for seniors and persons with disabilities. It will also allow Illinois legislators to explain their perspective on how the state can meet the long-term care needs of Kane County residents who want to remain in the community.
Legislators will have the opportunity to raise other issues, and the forum will conclude with a question-and-answer session if time permits.
A continental breakfast and light lunch will be provided.
You can RSVP to the event by contacting Linda Williamson at lwilliamson@ageguide.org or 630-293-5990.
