Tree Trimming Prompts Closures Along Fox River Trail in South Elgin

The Forest Preserve District of Kane County asks users of Fox River Trail, between State Street in South Elgin and Fox River Drive in Valley View, to be aware of a February tree-trimming project.

ComEd contractor Lewis Tree Service will be trimming trees along power lines and within 3 feet of utility poles to prevent power failures.

Work is expected throughout the month of February.

Preserve and trail users are asked to be mindful of the tree-trimming project and the possibility of construction equipment in the vicinity.
