Carpentersville Police: Man, Woman Charged With Cannabis Manufacture and Delivery
A Carpentersville man and woman face charges after police found 66 marijuana plants in a Valentine Street home.
According to a Carpentersville Police Department news release, police served a search warrant around 3:27 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017, at 2 Valentine St. in Carpentersville, resulting in the arrest of 44-year-old Robbie J. Marinkovich and 43-year-old Donna L. Yoshimura.
The search yielded 250 grams of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and a shotgun, according to the news release.
The following criminal charges have been filed against Marinkovich:
- Production of Cannabis
- Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis: 30 to 500 grams
- Possession of Cannabis
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- No FOID Card
Bond was set at $30,000 Friday morning for Marinkovich, who will be transported to the Kane County Jail while he awaits his March 10 court date.
Yoshimura is facing the following criminal charges:
- Manufacture/Delivery of Cannabis: 30 to 500 grams
- Possession of Cannabis
Her bond was set at $5,000, but she was released on a personal recognizance bond. She will also appear in court on March 10.
The charges against Marinkovich and Yoshimura are not proof of guilt. Each is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial in which it is the state’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
