Hey, Teens! Summer Job Fair Set For Feb. 20 in St. Charles

It’s that time of year when teens seeking summer jobs and internships might want to get moving. Fast.

There’s a great opportunity coming up in St. Charles for young people looking for summer employment and a chance to gain valuable job experience in a field of interest.

The St. Charles Park District’s annual Teen Job Fair in cooperation with the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, in the Pottawatomie Community Center Gym, 8 North Ave., for people between the age of 16 and 24.

“Come prepared to ask and answer questions and, remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression!” the Park District said in a Feb. 7 news release.

Participating businesses include St. Charles Park District, Batavia Park District, Eagle Engraving, Fox Valley Special Recreation Association, Heinz Brothers Greenhouse Garden Center, Mathnasium of St. Charles, Forest Preserve District of Kane County, Mary Kay and more!

The Park District offers a variety of part-time and seasonal positions year-round. The district seeks individuals who are friendly, hardworking and dedicated to doing a good job. Applicants must be age 16 years or older to be considered for a position. Job Opportunities include Camp Counselors, Concession Workers, Recreation Program Instructors, Scorekeepers & Umpires, Cashiers, Natural Areas Restoration Assistant, Park Laborers, Construction Assistants, Flower Attendants, Lawn Care Assistants, Park Guides, Boat Launch Attendants and Security.
