Anderson Animal Shelter is asking folks to “share the love” with a gift to the animal-lover in your life.
“Need an idea for that special someone for Valentine’s Day?” the nonprofit group said in an e-blast today. “You can share the love by supporting Anderson Animal Shelter. Make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one or beloved pet. Choose an eCard designs and we will deliver it via email to your special Valentine.
“Honor the loved ones who have touched your life with a very special Valentine’s Day gift. Your gift today will help us save lives and give thousands of homeless pets hope for a new chance at finding everlasting love.”

ADOPT A PET FOR JUST $14 DURING 4-DAY VALENTINE’S DAY SPECIAL!
Some may call it puppy love, but it can also be called kitten love. The Aurora Animal Care and Control is helping cats and dogs find their forever-families with a new Valentine’s Day Adoption Special.
For just four days — Feb. 9, 10, 13 and 14 — all animals at AACC can be adopted for just $14.
“This incredible price, which is normally $90, includes vaccinations, microchip, registration and spaying/neutering,” the news release says.
Adoption hours are noon to 4:30 p.m. at AACC, 600 S. River St.

The 14 Days of Love in Dundee event continues through Feb. 14, 2017.
There are a lot of adorable photos of cute couples, dads and daughters and other humans on the Village of East Dundee Facebook page, but don’t forget that the event encourages you to take a picture with the four-legged sweetie of your choice, as well!
