The village of North Aurora announced today (Monday, April 17, 2017) that storm sewer installation and pavement reconstruction will begin in May for Airport Road, Alder Drive and Ice Cream Drive.

A detour route will be in place beginning Monday, May 1, 2017.

Traffic control devices, flaggers and barricades will be in place to direct traffic around the detour. The detour route will be one-way traffic westbound from Route 31 to Randall Road. Traffic will not be permitted from Randall Road to Ice Cream Drive, to Airport Road during this detour, but the entrance to Oberweis Ice Cream store will be open and accessible.
