Countdown to Earth Day Tip #1: Do One More Thing!
Happy Earth Day!
We hope this Countdown to Earth Day series has inspired you to work a little harder for our planet in the upcoming year and beyond — which is why we are closing our countdown with Tip #1: Do One More Thing for the Earth!
We gave you 14 ideas this month on how you can get more involved in preserving and protecting natural resources in Kane County. This range of opportunities to get involved can be overwhelming, so why not start with just one?
Whether it’s volunteering for a local conservation organization, installing a rain barrel, supporting the local food movement, or giving composting a try in your back yard — it comes down to you making the choices that will have a beneficial impact to the world around you, one choice at a time.
It has been 47 years since the first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970. Earth Day events are now held in more than 193 countries, coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network. The network’s Billion Acts of Green campaign has already exceeded 2 billion! Consider joining this larger movement for a cleaner, safer and healthier environment all around the world.
Let’s work together to make EVERY day Earth Day!
