IDOT Starts Intersection Work at Route 56 and Raddant
The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Monday (April 10, 2017) that an intersection improvement project will take place at Butterfield Road (Illinois 56) and Raddant Road, in Aurora, starting today, weather permitting. The project will require daily lane closures at the intersection.
Daily lane closures will take place on Butterfield Road at Raddant Road for pre-stage work. Access to driveways and side streets will be maintained at all times.
The scope of the project consists of widening, drainage improvements and new traffic signal installation. The overall project is expected to be completed in Fall 2017.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
